West Coast Fiero Upgrade Performance Parts


		We continuously find and spec. new clutches for the Fiero. We use this apparatus to statically test our own and other manufacturer's clutches to see what the break friction and slip torques are. This is only a comparative test, as we know the clutches under test are not seated. Once seated in the car, the torque should be higher than our static test. We have in the past found clutches that slip with high output engine (3800 Series II supercharged), despite manufacturer's claims that their clutch will hold 300+ horsepower. Some of these clutches slipped. With our comparative test, we ascertain how much torque these clutches will take before slippage. Extremely hard use of these clutches can degrade the performance of these clutches dramatically. Seating the clutch under light use for a 200 mile break-in period is recommended for full potential and long life of the clutch.
