The Under the Spare Tire Battery Box.
The battery box is for moving the
battery to the front of the Fiero. This helps move the weight to the front of the
car and frees up the space in the engine compartment for better cooling as well as a much
cleaner appearance.
The new battery box is installed under the spare tire, and is designed to fit the stock Fiero battery or an Optima
battery. The battery connectors are on the outside of the spare tire compartment,
facing the radiator, providing easy access for jump-starting the car.
The battery box is designed to be glued or bolted into position and does NOT ship with pre-drilled holes
for the battery posts and mounting holes. The
battery hold down clamp and hardware is supplied.
If you desire to have battery post holes, mounting holes and fasteners, please
specify when ordering.
The Aluminum battery box is made of 5000 series
aluminum and comes with the clamp that holds the battery down, similar to the stock type.
The Carbon Fiber
battery box walls are a mere .020" thick carbon. Inside
dimensions is 10-1/8" to accommodate stock and 'Optima' style
battery.
Hook-up cable with connectors is
available to extend the stock cables. |
