The E6X Series ECU

  This is the newest of the Haltech ECU products.

The Haltech E6X is a powerful 'real-time' programmable fuel injection and ignition computer designed to control most ignition type engines.  Whether 1-6, 8, 10 or 12 cylinders, 1-2 rotors, naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged, this ECU can control it.

This ECU is capable of controlling sequential injection on 4,5,6,8 and 10 cylinder applications. With 8 channels capable of controlling injection and ignition duties, the E8 can support most modern engines with multi-coil ignition systems, as well as conventional distributor ignition systems. 

In addition to controlling fuel and spark, the E8 can control various auxiliary engine functions.

  Tuning for optimum power requires a richer ratio that tuning for optimum economy.  With a typical engine the best power occurs near a 12.5:1 air-fuel ratio (gasoline).  In the same engine, the best fuel economy occurs near a 15.5:1 air-fuel ratio (gasoline).

Whether tuning for power or economy, a properly set-up fuel system will give a richer reading during acceleration and a leaner reading during deceleration than the optimum numbers above.

Use your Haltuner as an instrument to evaluate the effect of tuning changes or as an indication of maintenance problems such as a dirty air filter.  Haltuner can be used as a safety device to notify the driver of a lean mixture that may cause engine damage,
