use of a vice, a couple pipe wrenches and extension bar to break it
free.

rods.
Tie rods with lip ground off.

Unbolt the support arm that connects to the cross
member frame and connect the adapter plate into place with the two bolts on
the passenger side of the car. With the adapter plate in place mark the
hole that needs drilled on the cross member frame, remove adapter and drill
your hole. This would be a good time to blow everything off and dress
things up with a little paint

Installing Fiero tie rod with aluminum steering stop to Camaro
rack, also using lock-tite.
Screw on the inner tie rod and use lock tight. Place the
plastic cover back over the connection on the inner tie rod.
Replace boots with clamps and replace the fiero tie rod
ends. (you should have counted the turns off and now count the turns back
on) THIS DOES NOT ELIMINATE YOUR NEED TO HAVE A FRONT END ALIGNMENT.
Completed tie rod assembly installed on the Camaro rack.
Right side steering rack with stock Fiero steering rack clamp
installed.
Left side steering rack with stock Fiero steering rack clamp
installed.
Put your power rack and pinion on the car using the old brackets.
On the drivers side, you may have to put a rubber shim between the
rack and the clamp, if the clamp does not pull down tight. Do
NOT tighten to the point of crushing.
Drop you steering column; it makes connecting the
column to the rack and pinion a lot easier.
